What I wanted to say on stage today

Females — using fashion — can positively affect the climate emergency. This is a good thing. This is a GREAT thing. Because we know action and impact is just so desperately needed now. How, you ask? Well, it starts with going back to basics to nurture nature — the very thing that sustains us — and nurturing ourselves.

While these might sound like two relatively simple concepts, bringing them out into the light does require some very, very bold decisions by all of us.

“How exciting!”, is what you now need to be saying.

Yes, it is. But it is also a little challenging. Perhaps we should think of what we are about to embark upon as a challenge akin to synchronised diving: it is something that seems daunting, if not impossible, at first. But, with considered and consistent effort and a whole lot of courage, the results will be spectacular.
